Terms of service
Last updated: 18 October 2026
1. The service
Slotwatch monitors permitted ticket availability sources for the attraction, dates, group size and times you select, and notifies you by e-mail when matching availability is detected. Slotwatch does not sell, reserve or guarantee tickets. Tickets are purchased by you from the museum or an authorised provider under their terms and at their price.
Slotwatch is an independent service and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or partnered with the Van Gogh Museum or any ticket provider.
2. Fee and duration
The fee shown at checkout is a one-time payment for a monitoring request. It covers monitoring for 14 days from activation or until the end of your last selected visit date, whichever comes first, and the alerts generated during that period. The fee is not a ticket price and does not depend on whether tickets become available.
3. No guarantee
Availability depends on third parties and can change at any moment. We do not guarantee that tickets will become available, that an alert will reach you in time, or that you will be able to complete a booking. Alerts labelled as possible availability have not been verified for quantity.
4. Right of withdrawal (REVIEW before launch)
If you are a consumer in the EU you normally have 14 days to withdraw from a distance contract. Because monitoring is a service, you may ask us to start immediately by ticking the corresponding box at checkout. If you do, and the service has been fully performed (the monitoring period has ended or a matching alert has been sent), you lose the right of withdrawal. If you withdraw before full performance, you owe a proportionate amount for the period already monitored. This clause must be reviewed by a legal adviser; its validity depends on the exact implementation and on consumer law in your country.
5. Refunds
Apart from the statutory right of withdrawal, fees are not refunded when no tickets become available. If our monitoring was not operational for a material part of your monitoring period because of a failure on our side, contact us; we will extend or refund at our discretion. (REVIEW)
6. Your obligations
Provide a valid e-mail address, use the service for personal, non-commercial purposes, and do not attempt to resell alerts or abuse the service.
7. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the fee you paid for the monitoring request concerned. We are not liable for the actions, prices or terms of ticket providers.
8. Changes and law
We may update these terms; the version in force when you paid applies to that request. Dutch law applies. Disputes go to the competent court in the Netherlands, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protection in your country of residence. EU consumers may also use the European ODR platform.
